meet our pacers
Keeping You on Track

A pacer helps you to finish a race in a specific time. Our Half Marathon provides pacing teams for a variety of finish times. Xempo are led by experienced racers who are trained to help you maintain a steady pace. If your goal is to finish a half marathon in 2 hours, for example, running with a 2-hour pacer will help you to maintain an average pace of 9 minutes 09 seconds per mile.

Pacer Groups: 1h30, 1h40, 1h45, 1h50, 2h00, 2h10, 2h15, 2h20

All the pacers will be highly visible in the starting pens, wearing flags with “Xempo” and their target time written clearly on them. Most pen pacers will be in pairs.

The pacers are a friendly bunch and will be happy to discuss any pacing questions either before or even during the race (yes they can run and talk!). Feel free to come and speak to the pacers before the race at the Xempo tent in the Race Village for some pre-race chat.
You can also find them on Facebook and Twitter
A colour for everyone

Visit the Xempo shop to view the whole range of running kit. Every single piece of Xempo kit has been hand stitched in the UK to the highest possible standard from lightweight, high tech wicking fabrics.
There are nine colours in the Xempo range. The first colour in the scale is white (not shown). You’ve earned this for whatever time you’ve achieved in a 5k, 10k, half or full marathon. So well done! You’ve already qualified if you’ve run 5k or more.
meet our marshals
We could not run the event without the continued support from the local voluntary organisations listed below. Every year through rain or shine, these voluntary groups: marshal the routes, have a presence in the runner’s village and help with the setup/ take down of the event.

We would like to say a BIG thank you to all the voluntary organisations that have helped with the event over the years and we look forward to working with you some of you in 2024!
